Sacrifice of the father
There is a story I heard from one guy. It's happens in earliest 20th - 30th. There was a guy by the name John. He was lucky when he got a job. It was a really good job, because he had to open bridge for the ships and close it so that trains could pass through it. Once he had met a beautiful woman and fell in love with her. A couple years later they got married and God blessed them with a wonderful child. John loved him very much. He carried so much about him. Father promised to himself that when his son will get eight years old, he'd take him to his job. His son was raised up in carrying and loving hands. As John promised, he took his son to the bridge. He began to show him everything around: he showed him how easily he opens and closes the bridge and how fast does train pass. Then John got a lunch break and went down off the tower because it was a good place as well. During lunch John told his son about names of the ships, where they were going, what they were carrying and other thing like that. He was so lucky talking to son that he forgot about time. When he looked at his watch, it was a time of crossing a bridge by an express, which carries 400 people on board. But John didn't what to trouble his son, so he told him to wait there for a while and he will take care of some thing. As quickly as it was possible he ran upstairs. He could hear the voice of the train and even the rolling of its wheels. But when he looked down he saw his son between two big gears, so if he would close the bridge, they will cut his son. On other hand he had an express with 400 people on board. So he had a hard choice: if he would close the bridge, he will loose his only, but if he will leave it opened, people will die. John didn't have a time to think. He closed his eyes by one hand and by another he pulled lever. During first second he heard his own son screaming, but then the noise of the train and John's shout drown it. Nobody on the train knew anything about accident. Until newspaper wrote about it: what kind of price did man paid for their lives. Our heavenly Father did the same thing, even more. He created this world and He loved it so much "… that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life." (John 3:16) Let me ask you: can you do something like that for the person like thief, prostitute, killer, or just your neighbor. God have done it. Now you don't have to take someone's life to save or to be saved. You just have to let Jesus come into your heart and be your Lord. He is the only one who can change not only your heart, but also your life and even your relatives and your friend. So, please, repeat these word after me: "Dear Lord. I heard that You gave up Your only Son for me. I heard that You made this sacrifice be cause You love me. Please, forgive what I did and me who I was. And please fill my heart with Your powerful love. Thank you, Jesus. Amen.
